We received a delegation from Huzhou City (Zhejiang province), the city with which HX Agriculture signed an agreement on August 16 for the development of a 28-hectare project, where high-tech greenhouses for lettuce and cut flowers will be built. During this follow-up meeting in the Netherlands, an additional agreement was signed for this project.
HX-Agriculture, our partner company and member of DGD-China, will develop the project. This follow-up meeting provided an excellent opportunity to get to know Dutch partners better. Jiao You (Kubo), Marc Boeren (Dalsem), Joep van den Bosch (Ridder), Sven Duijvestijn (Artechno), Fred Tanke (Boal Group), Simon Lin, and Lynn Wan (HX Agriculture) were present and introduced themselves.
During the earlier signing ceremony in Huzhou City (Wuxing district), the efforts of DGD-China director, Gert Dral, were recognized as a “horticulture ambassador.” At the World Horti Center, he received a plaque with an inscription on behalf of Vice Mayor Mr. Lu. At DGD, we are particularly proud of this recognition that Gert received and the foundation he is laying for sustainable and local production of vegetables, flowers, and plants.

We also received a delegation from Jinhua, as a result of the promotion of the agropark in Jiashan, for which DGD laid the foundation. They wanted more information about Sino-Dutch cooperation and how this can lead to a solution for local food safety and food security. We look back on a valuable visit and look forward to the next steps!
