MOU signed PIB China and Yinxing Municipal People’s Government

In recent years, China. and the Netherlands have witnessed sustained growth in bilateral investment and trade. The two countries have carried out extensive cooperation in economic and agricultural fields, and shared broad consensus and common interests. The NL Protected Agriculture Alliance represents the high-tech agricultural industry and innovation cluster in the Netherlands and is the leader of the global high-tech greenhouse facility agriculture industry.

During the 14th Five-Year Plan period, China aims to set up about 500 demonstration zones for agricultural modernization at the county level, and the first 100 projects will be built during the period 2021-2022. These projects will begin several benchmarks that set standards for high-efficient production, which produces safe and qualitative food. They will play a leading role in agricultural modernization. Wuxi-Yixing, as the only county-level city in southern Jiangsu, was successfully selected for the first batch of national agricultural modernization demonstration areas.

Through the close cooperation between the two parties, the focus will be on introducing advanced technology agricultural projects, technical equipment, and service clusters from the Netherlands and the world. It will also serve as a demonstration base for modern technology agriculture in the Yangtze River Delta in China, which will become a new driving force for China-Netherlands cooperation in science and technology and agriculture, and providing overall solutions for facility agriculture investment.
